Intro

For the last ten years or so I have been involved in the food & restaurant industry. Ive lived it from the ground up…working on organic farms getting in tune with the source as well as doing my time in service. From baking to cooking, serving, bar tending… you name it and Ive done it.

I love all facets of it-
the food itself and where it came from
choice in menu
preparation and techniques used
presentation
service given
atmosphere of the location and the location in itself.
I’m curious about the philosophies of a business and how it came to be what it is.
The folks behind it and the people it draws in.

I do realize there are plenty of folks out there who are not nearly as passionate about food as I am but I do know that everyone eats and no one can deny the treasure of the satisfaction of a great meal.

I read a lot of reviews in this city and Ive come to find that I have yet to come across a source that is especially thorough. This is what I hope to provide… a very thorough food review that not only gives you a feel for the restaurant before you get there but also a behind the scenes look at what that restaurant is made of and who or what you support in your patronage.
I hope to bring folks closer to their food and restaurant community.

I want this site to be all encompassing.
To be able to explore every avenue that food opens to.
I make informed decisions in my eating and at cheriepicked.com I hope to share what I learn from my experiences.
